What follows is a paper I wrote for my Writings of Isaiah Class at BYU. We were required to discuss a portion of Isaiah that we found interesting, so I chose the Song of the Suffering Servant. We had to do a literary analysis and a doctrinal analysis.

This is my latest sacrament talk all about the importance of having a Temple Recommend…
This is the sacrament meeting talk that I gave a few weeks ago. This talk is based on thoughts from Dale G. Renlund’s General Conference talk “Latter-day Saints Keep on Trying.” I hope you enjoy what I’ve written. The image above was taken by myself in Peru while we climbed a mountain for a better view of Machu Picchu.
It is so great to be here today. It is so great to be back at average altitudes. To get to the new mission of Peru Huancayo, you either fly for 45 minutes in a small plane, or you travel by bus for 8-9 hours up and down windy roads at crazy altitudes. The first time I left Lima for my first area in the jungle was one of the craziest road trips I ever took. At one point in the trip, you go through the Ticlio Pass, as they call it, at over 15,800 feet. Starting my mission made me as white as a ghost, but not from fear. From lack of oxygen. I hope that today its reverse altitude sickness.
