That’s right, classes are officially over. The 2nd hardest phase of the week is over. I have completed all of the assignments that are due and I am ready to start studying for these finals. It is going to be a whole ton of work, but I feel like I can do this. It is just one last push before I am allowed to have a little over a 2 year break. I’m super stoked for these exams, even though they might end up killing me. In other news, I love the cloudy weather.

In case you didn’t know, Finals are approaching. That’s right, the worst part of the semester is just right around the corner. I am up to my neck in craziness with my studies and assignments, and I feel like I’m about to burst. The last 2 weeks of the semester are never fun times and it is about to get crazier.
Welcome to Elder Van Komen’s mission blog. As soon as Elder Van Komen leaves for…
Yes, it is officially spring. Isn’t that lovely? The coldness is finally going away, and is scheduled to not return in full force for a couple seasons. It is truly a lovely thing to be out of winter and be able to enjoy the amazing warmth and feel-goods that come with spring.

This past weekend, we went up to our family’s cabin to have a weekend full of fun and snow. It was quite fun and there was significantly more snow than in the Utah and Salt Lake counties. There were some fun times, some not so fun times, and some very irksome circumstances, but we all had a great and fantastic time just being a family. This week has also been a pretty great week as far as school and extra activities went. Head inside for the story.
Well, I went and found the theme that I had installed on my old blog (that was, unfortunately, rather dead) and installed it here so that I wouldn’t have to look at the stupid and unimpressive default theme. I also moved the blog out of the main directory of david.vankomen.me so that I can make a professional landing page that isn’t tied to WordPress. As for thoughts on my day and a little bit of an outline on what I want to do with this site, head inside this little jump here.
Yeah, I went ahead and bought the domain name “vankomen.me” (I’d link to that, but there’s nothing there just yet). I think that this will serve my needs much better, as I’ll be able to create a fantastic, professional-looking theme just for my own site and blog. Not to mention I’ll be able to play around with some fantastic plugins and other modifications that can make this blog even better. If you really care, head inside for some more information about what I will probably do with this site.
